Raven Witherspoon is a current Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University where she is pursuing a Master's Degree in Leadership in Global Affairs. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Honors College where she majored in Physics with minors in Political Science, International Social Justice Studies, and Mathematics. Following her internship at Surry Nuclear Power Station and her research in VCU's department of Mechanical Engineering Department, Raven investigated domestic regulations for advanced nuclear reactors in the Nonproliferation and National Security Department of Brookhaven National Laboratory. Professionally, she aspires to a career promoting international peace and nuclear nonroliferation. Passionate about cross-cultural communication and US-China relations, Raven was a 2020 Confucius Institute Honoree and currently serves as an ambassador and facilitator for the US-Heartland China Association's "Third Space"/"第三空间“ bilingual story sharing program. She was an inaugural China-America Student Conference delegate and is thrilled to be co-planning ChASC 2.
