Elizabeth is a Japanese Government (MEXT) PhD Fellow at International Christian University and founder of "Generations of Legacies," an initiative focused on rethinking educational empowerment. Elizabeth has a double Masters in the field of Mental Health (U.S) and Peace and Conflict Studies (Japan), which has permitted her to work as a therapist and mediator with the refugee and indigenous communities in Salt Lake, Utah. After graduation, she pursued her Fulbright grant at IE University Business School in Madrid. Afterwards, she has gone on to work on projects at the OECD, the Global Peacebuilding Association of Japan, Mediators Beyond Borders International and the Academic Council of the UN Systems (ACUNS) in the Tokyo Office. Recently, she has co-founded the "RadioNatura Podcast," a unique multilingual podcast on peace, nature and politics. As part of her World Rotary Peace Fellowship, she attended the 1st China-America Student Conference as a U.S delegate in 2020, an enriching experience.
Elizabeth is interested in public policy related to nuclear energy framing and risk communication. She enjoys Rakugo and riddles.
