American delegates will be selected from all fields and levels of study. Delegates need not be Asian studies majors or studying Korean language as English is the primary language of the Conference. While U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is preferred, the only eligibility requirement is full-time student standing at the time of application.
Korean delegates will also be selected from all fields and levels of study. Delegates need not be American studies majors. English language proficiency and full-time student standing at the time of application is required.
The KASC application process is rigorous and competitive. The most successful application packages will clearly demonstrate a student’s potential to contribute to the program as well as a high level of academic prowess, motivation, leadership and social skills.
The following materials are required:
- Completed, signed application
- Short answer questions
- Personal Essay
- Resume
- Current and official college or university transcript
- Two letters of reference
- Phone interview

Program Expenses and Funding
The participation fee for the 3rd KASC is USD3,000 for American delegates and Korean delegates, which covers food, lodging and group travel for the duration of the Conference. Travel between each Conference location is included in this fee.
For American delegates individual round-trip transportation to the American Orientation site and from the final site is the responsibility of each delegate.
Korean delegates are responsible for transportation to Korean orientation in Seoul and home from the conclusion of the Conference.
Each year a considerable number of delegates receive full or partial financial support from their universities or other organizations. Upon selection, ISC and the Executive Committee can provide advice for locating and obtaining scholarships, donations and other forms of financial aid. In addition, ISC also offers limited scholarship assistance.
